Early Intervention
Our program is designed to amplify family’s confidence and empower them with confidence in their child’s development - we aim to provide eligible babies and toddlers with help in acquiring skills that typically develop during the first three years of life especially when they are experiencing developmental delays. This may include speech therapy, physical therapy and other types of services depending on the needs of the child and family. This program is suited for anyone 3 to 6 years old and especially those diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome.
Why is Early Intervention Important?
The connections in a baby’s brain are most malleable in the first 3 years of life. These connections aka neural circuits, are the foundation for learning, behaviour shaping and health. Over time, these connections get stronger and thus harder to break and change. Therefore, Intervention is likely to be more effective when it is done earlier in life rather than later.
Families benefit from EI by being able to help their child achieve milestones from an early age to increase their success in learning throughout their lives.
Behaviour
Therapy
Behaviour therapy is an effective treatment for ADHD that can improve a child’s behaviour, self control and self-esteem. It is most effective in young child when delivered by therapists working closely with parents. Here at Illubri, our use a two prong treatment approach to help kids with ADHD. First, we help kids control their impulsive behaviour through close collaboration with parents where kids and parents participate together via “Parent- Training”. This helps parents learn more helpful ways to respond to behaviour like throwing tantrums or ignoring instructions. Most Parent Training programs focus on using praise and consistent consequences to encourage positive behaviour. The second type of behaviour therapy focuses on a set of skills called Executive Functions. This includes, staying organized, planning tasks, managing time, and having emotional regulations.
Behavourial training, can help kids build skills to stay on top of school work and managed responsibilities at home. Our therapists can help your child practice using tools like checklist, planners, and reward charts to stay on track. We also employ Play Therapy for kids age 3-6 to help them learn how to stay focus, increase work stamina and practice delayed gratification.
We have received tremendous feedback from parents with kids who have gone through our Early Intervention + Behaviourial Therapy that they saw results in their kid’s behaviour as quick as 4 weeks!

1 - 1 ABA Therapy

Our 1-1 ABA program is intensive and progressive. It adapts the fundamentals of DTT and TEACHH to ensure your child will learn and thrive during sessions with materials that are meaningful, fun and relevant. The session is driven by positive outcomes partnered with active teaching. Sessions are always tailored to each child and are held in a 1:1 teacher to student setting to maximize learning opportunities and growth in each session. Our therapy focuses includes functional and critical foundation skills such as: language and communication, play, self-help, pivotal ‘learning how to learn’ and social skills. Each session will run for a minimum of 1.5 hours and are held at the comfort of your home. This program is suited for anyone above 15 months old.
School Readiness
Illubri’s School Readiness Program (SRP) is an individualised program to assist children with unique learning and behavioral challenges to successfully transition them into the mainstream curriculum. Our SRP is based on 1:1 or a small group setting to maximize and equalized learning opportunities so your child can feel empowered and confident when they eventually transit into the mainstream setting. An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will be developed in partnership with our Clinical Director as well as our Therapist to ensure your child’s learning will be relevant and meaningful to him/her.
Social Classes and Character Development Program
Our social classes are conducted in small groups, aimed at teaching a child social awareness and conversational skills. Contrary to public beliefs, a huge number of children with autism are capable of socializing and even enjoy social interactions! However, they require additional support to know what to say and how to respond in certain situations. Our social classes will also teach social concepts such as empathy and compassion which contributes to character building.
Tying in with the new initiative set up by the MOE, we recognize and hope to spread the importance of Social and Emotional Learning to people in our society. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) refers to the soft skills that are essential for your child's personal and social well-being. Having strong social-emotional competencies can improve your child's school performance.
These social-emotional competencies will help your child to:
-
Develop healthy identities
-
Recognise and manage their own emotions.
-
Develop a sense of responsibility, care and concern for others.
-
Relate to others and develop positive relationships.
-
Handle challenges.
-
Make responsible decisions and act for the good of self, others and the society.
The objectives of our ABA programs cover beyond acquiring communication and language skills - we cultivate good manners and qualities such as perseverance and resilience as well. We inculcate strategies to cope with failures and changes early in life and how they can grow exponentially from there. We want our children with autism to enjoy the same opportunities to excel in life as any other child.
Parents & Caregiver Training and Counselling
Here at Illubri, we take partnership and collaboration very seriously. While our programs are effective, further practice and reinforcement done outside of sessions will dramatically help your child progress. Parents’ active involvement is the hallmark of their child’s progress. Therefore, we provide training for parents and caregivers to equip them with skills and knowledge in understanding their child behaviour and how to manage them effectively.
Counselling session are also part of our services as we understand it can be challenging at times and parents need an a safe space to express their feelings on the struggles they are facing. We hope to provide a safe space and community where parents can also come together to share their knowledge and ideas with one another to fast track their childrens’ progress.
