EARLY INTERVENTION
Mother and Daughter
Our program is designed to amplify family’s confidence and empower them with confidence in their child’s development - we aim to provide eligible babies and toddlers with help in acquiring skills that typically develop during the first three years of life especially when they are experiencing developmental delays.

This may include speech therapy, physical therapy and other types of services depending on the needs of the child and family. This program is suited for anyone 3 to 6 years old and especially those diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome.
WHY IS EARLY INTERVENTION IMPORTANT?
The connections in a baby’s brain are most malleable in the first 3 years of life. These connections aka neural circuits, are the foundation for learning, behaviour shaping and health. Over time, these connections get stronger and thus harder to break and change. Therefore, Intervention is likely to be more effective when it is done earlier in life rather than later.

Families benefit from EI by being able to help their child achieve milestones from an early age to increase their success in learning throughout their lives.

BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
Art Class
Behaviour therapy is an effective treatment for ADHD that can improve a child’s behaviour, self control and self-esteem. It is most effective in young child when delivered by therapists working closely with parents. Here at Illubri, our use a two prong treatment approach to help kids with ADHD. First, we help kids control their impulsive behaviour through close collaboration with parents where kids and parents participate together via “Parent- Training”. This helps parents learn more helpful ways to respond to behaviour like throwing tantrums or ignoring instructions. Most Parent Training programs focus on using praise and consistent consequences to encourage positive behaviour. The second type of behaviour therapy focuses on a set of skills called Executive Functions. This includes, staying organized, planning tasks, managing time, and having emotional regulations.
WHY IS BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY IMPORTANT?
Behavourial training, can help kids build skills to stay on top of school work and managed responsibilities at home. Our therapists can help your child practice using tools like checklist, planners, and reward charts to stay on track. We also employ Play Therapy for kids age 3-6 to help them learn how to stay focus, increase work stamina and practice delayed gratification.

We have received tremendous feedback from parents with kids who have gone through our Early Intervention + Behaviourial Therapy that they saw results in their kid’s behaviour as quick as 4 weeks!
SHADOW TEACHER SUPPORT
First Day of Kindergarten
We also provide an important support service for children who need assistance integrating within a mainstream school environment.

Some of the students who may require our Shadow Support service includes (but not limited to) those with:

  • Behavioral Management Issues
  • High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Severe Language Difficulties
  • Mild Cognitive Deficits
  • ADHD

We carefully select and pair a trained professional with students in need to improve their learning experience so that it can be more effective and successful.
WHY IS SHADOW TEACHER SUPPORT IMPORTANT?
Objectives of our Shadow Support Service:

  • To redirect the students’ attention, if necessary, to improve attention to classroom instructions and participation
  • To train the student on how to cope with the present tasks
  • Manage the students’ learning needs and challenges to better support the classroom teacher
  • To provide opportunities for social interaction and address social awareness
  • Provision of speech therapy, educational therapy and occupational therapy in the classroom
  • Reduce student’s anxieties by creating a structure to their learning and addressing their challenges in real-time

Statistics have shown that with the help of a trained Shadow Support professional, a stark improvement was seen in the students’ ability to cope and integrate in a mainstream school environment. With the right guidance and support, students can strive academically and even in social settings.
SOCIAL CLASSES
Daycare Center
Our social classes are conducted in small groups, aimed at teaching a child social awareness and conversational skills. Contrary to public beliefs, a huge number of children with autism are capable of socialising and even enjoy social interactions! However, they require additional support to know what to say and how to respond in certain situations. Our social classes will also teach social concepts such as empathy and compassion which contributes to character building.
WHY IS SOCIAL CLASS
IMPORTANT?
Tying in with the new initiative set up by the MOE, we recognise and hope to spread the importance of Social and Emotional Learning to people in our society. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) refers to the soft skills that are essential for your child's personal and social well-being. Having strong social-emotional competencies can improve your child's school performance.
These social-emotional competencies will help your child to:
  • Develop healthy identities
  • Recognise and manage their own emotions.
  • Develop a sense of responsibility, care and concern for others.
  • Relate to others and develop positive relationships.
  • Handle challenges.
  • Make responsible decisions and act for the good of self, others and the society.

The objectives of our Social Classes cover beyond acquiring communication and language skills -  we cultivate good manners and qualities such as perseverance and resilience as well. We inculcate strategies to cope with failures and changes early in life and how they can grow exponentially from there. We want our children with autism to enjoy the same opportunities to excel in life as any other child.
